Home Business Online - How To Use Offline Advertising For An Online Business I

In order to attract visitors any business must advertise, and offline advertising for an online business should not seem unusual. Why should your advertising be restricted to online just because your business is?

It is true that an online business that sells to a world wide market would require a wider ranging means of offline advertising that the local press, but there is no reason why TV and the national press could not be used. Although the potential audience is not worldwide, it is large nevertheless. Advertising is advertising.

Not everybody uses the internet, and the aim of an advertiser should be to reach the widest audience possible. You cannot do that without using offline advertising to supplement your online activities. Let’s say you have a list of 10,000 people and email them all with your product offer. Will you really get more response than with a newspaper ad to a circulation of 10 million? Agreed, the newspaper readership may not be focused, but it all depends on your product.

You could advertise in a magazine dedicated to the activity that your product is designed to benefit. What’s wrong with advertising your new method of curing a golf slice in all the golfing magazines you can find. Every golfer suffers from a slice at one time or another so you should get enough response to cover your costs. The same is true of any form of activity. There is usually an offline magazine that caters for followers as well as an online ezine. Don’t limit your advertising.
